From my work in progress:
the Z boson's mass is mZ = 2 mp / (kappa alpha),
and the W boson's mass is mW = mZ / (1 + mpi / mp).
mp = proton mass (938.27 MeV)
mpi = pion mass (neutral pi = 134.98 MeV, charged pi = 139.58 MeV, avg value = 137.28 MeV)
kappa = proton's g-factor / 2 (2.79)
alpha = fine-structure constant (1/137)
